Arda Güler scored in Real Madrid’s home La Liga match against Sevilla on October 18. Around the half-hour mark of the first half, he met Yan Diomande’s delivery from the left with a first-time left-footed shot into the top-right corner. The goal put the hosts 1-0 ahead. Why the goal mattered

The Santiago Bernabéu fixture was part of the league’s ninth round. According to the pre-match record cited by Ensonhaber, Madrid had won six and lost two of their opening eight matches.
