Carlos Cuesta’s future is being discussed between Vasco da Gama and parent club Galatasaray. The Brazilian club says the talks concern the Colombian defender’s contract and physical condition.

Hip problem keeps him out

Cuesta has experienced left-hip impingement pain for around a month and was omitted from the Flamengo match squad. His loan agreement includes a €5.75 million purchase option.

Reports suggest Vasco is unlikely to exercise it. A return to Galatasaray has not been announced as a completed new transaction; a decision is expected in the coming weeks.
