Fenerbahçe have announced an agreement with Emre Belözoğlu to coach the first team. The club confirmed the appointment in a KAP filing dated 3 November and welcomed their former captain back on social media.

Belözoğlu, 46, arrives from Kasımpaşa, who collected 17 points from their first 10 league matches this season. Son Dakika reports an 18-month contract, although the KAP announcement does not specify its duration.

After his playing career at Fenerbahçe, Belözoğlu served as sporting director and took charge of the team in March 2021. He recorded seven wins, two draws and one defeat in 10 matches during that spell. He subsequently coached Başakşehir, Ankaragücü, Antalyaspor and Kasımpaşa. The appointment marks his second spell as Fenerbahçe head coach.
