Fenerbahçe led Göztepe 1-0 at half-time but lost 2-1. They had also lost by the same score after leading against Gençlerbirliği and Beşiktaş this season.

Son Dakika’s statistical report recalls four league defeats from winning positions in 1987/88. This season’s three-game tally has not yet surpassed that figure.

Fenerbahçe remained on 16 points after the Göztepe match, nine behind leaders Galatasaray.
