A parked vehicle’s camera recorded the 29 October rock collapse near Göreme Open Air Museum. Newly published images show falling rock and the resulting dust cloud.

Fatih Eray Tuna, his wife Begüm Çetinkaya Tuna and French visitor Cynthia Houpert died; five people were injured. The footage does not depict a new collapse.

Nevşehir prosecutors appointed five experts to investigate technical causes and possible negligence. The fact that the collapse followed rainfall does not by itself establish the definitive cause.
