Justice Minister Akın Gürlek shared a video of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as former minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya was referred to a judge in the Istanbul funds investigation. His social media post used the hashtag #DuruşumuzBelli.

The clip featured Erdoğan discussing the party’s internal mechanisms and parting ways with people who act improperly. Gürlek did not name Kaya, and no separate statement established that the message referred directly to her.

Kaya was subsequently remanded in custody. Her husband İlyas Kaya and former capital markets regulator chief İbrahim Ömer Gönül were placed under judicial supervision. The allegations concern securities transactions and suspected membership of a criminal organisation. Remand is not a final conviction.
