NTV weather editor Dilek Çalışkan forecasts a roughly eight-degree temperature drop in northern and inland areas from 4 November. Her Thursday forecast puts Istanbul at 12°C and Ankara at 11°C.

Snow is expected towards the weekend in eastern Black Sea highlands and around Artvin, Gümüşhane, Erzurum and Kars. These are forecasts, not reports of snowfall already occurring.
