Russian media report that the incident followed a collision between a car and an electric-bicycle courier on the night of 1 November.

A 33-year-old friend called by the courier reportedly argued with officers and attacked. The suspect was shot, detained and taken to hospital. The injured officer also received medical attention. Russia’s Investigative Committee opened an investigation.
