Galatasaray have withdrawn Victor Osimhen from the Amed Sportif Faaliyetler squad because of a left-knee injury. The club’s November 6 medical statement scheduled surgery for the following day.

Osimhen suffered a strain in the Champions League match against Stuttgart, and an MRI identified a loose fragment, the club said. Arthroscopic surgery is planned for November 7 at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, to be performed by club doctor Yener İnce.

Galatasaray gave no date for a return to training or competition. A specific recovery period therefore has not been confirmed. The Nigerian striker will miss the November 7 Amedspor match.
