Germany deported 14,324 people between January and September 2026. DW, reporting Interior Ministry figures supplied in response to a question from Left Party MP Clara Bünger, said the total was about 19% lower than a year earlier.
Turkey tops the figures
The number of Turkish citizens rose from 1,614 to 2,025. Turkey ranked first, followed by Georgia with 883 and Algeria with 629. These figures describe completed removals during a reporting period, not a new blanket deportation order covering Turkish citizens in Germany.
Separately, assisted voluntary departures under REAG/GARP increased from 12,263 to 14,140. Voluntary returns and enforced deportations are recorded as distinct categories.
