What the total covers
Son Dakika, quoting the Directorate of Communications, reports that Ziraat Bank completed approximately TL40.8 billion in cash and in-kind liquidation transactions for over 45,000 people in 66 funds managed by A1 Portföy, Bulls Portföy and Pardus Portföy. The number of funds still in liquidation fell from 131 to 65. The amount includes in-kind transactions, rather than cash alone.
The legislative background
Following the sixth meeting chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, the statement said the relevant bill passed the parliamentary Planning and Budget Committee on October 14 and was expected before the plenary next week. The Directorate’s earlier October 13 statement records its submission to parliament on October 9. Committee approval does not mean the legislation has entered into force.
The Hedef Portföy development
The new statement says an October 15 Capital Markets Board decision extends the same liquidation principles to the covered Hedef Portföy funds. Payments to as many people as possible, prioritising money-market funds, are planned for next week.
What it means for beneficiaries
The plan does not guarantee a particular payment date for every person. Beneficiaries should check their fund’s scope and individual transaction status through official bank and institutional notices. The overall total cannot be used to infer equal payments per person.
