Mattéo Guendouzi came under scrutiny after Fenerbahçe surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Slavia Prague. Son Dakika reported that some supporters criticised the French midfielder on social media over his pass before the visitors’ first goal.
Error before Provod’s reply
Guendouzi’s misplaced pass after receiving the ball from Ederson preceded Lukáš Provod’s goal in the 15th minute. The goal cut Fenerbahçe’s lead to 2-1 after early strikes by Oğuz Aydın and Mason Greenwood.
Yüksek also whistled
The report said a section of supporters whistled İsmail Yüksek when he entered the match and during some subsequent touches. Criticism of Guendouzi intensified after the equaliser in the 90th minute. Calls for his departure were supporters’ opinions, rather than a club announcement.
Pavel Kačor’s late goal secured the 2-2 result. Fenerbahçe remain without a win in the competition and have two points from three matches.
