Galatasaray’s RAMS Park pitch problems have returned to the spotlight. According to journalist Levent Tüzemen, club president Dursun Özbek demanded repairs from the contractor without an additional charge after deterioration despite maintenance.
Repair request reported
Son Dakika and GZT, citing Tüzemen, said Özbek met club officials and representatives of the British contractor. He reportedly rejected an additional payment and asked for the problem to be fixed.
The reports recalled work during the recent international break and the pitch being ready for the Kasımpaşa match on 9 October. They said deterioration returned and drew complaints from Okan Buruk and players.
The remarks attributed to Özbek come from the journalist’s account. No new payment agreement, formal contract termination or completed repair timetable was announced by the club or contractor in the sources used.
