Serkan Erman, 48, had his kidney transplant postponed after suffering a heart attack while hospitalized in Istanbul. He said he developed chest and left-arm pain after watching a derby in his room on 26 October.
Professor Mahmut Uluganyan said a blocked artery was opened using balloon angioplasty and a stent. The transplant process could be reconsidered in around five to six months if his condition allows. Treatment and follow-up are continuing.
