Istanbul taxi chamber chair İsmet Dalcı said he booked a TAG vehicle as a passenger and directed it to a traffic inspection, after which it was impounded. He also claimed action against ten vehicles within 45 minutes.

The statement follows the 23 October unfair-competition ruling. Reports of that judgment say courts cannot impose a blanket platform ban and that regulation rests with lawmakers and administrative authorities.

Individual traffic actions are distinct from that lawsuit. The report provides no inspection records or individual grounds; Dalcı’s account alone does not determine every journey’s legal status.
