Türkiye’s statistical institute TÜİK has released its October 2026 consumer price index. Prices rose 2.58% from September and 29.77% from October a year earlier.

The index increased 27.52% compared with December 2025, while the twelve-month average increase was 31.23%. September’s monthly inflation was 1.84% and its annual rate 29.73%. October therefore brought a 0.74-percentage-point acceleration in monthly inflation and a 0.04-point rise in the annual rate.

The monthly figure measures the change between September and October; the annual figure compares October with the same month last year. The twelve-month average is a separate measure. The 31.23% reading should therefore not be interpreted as the price increase during October alone.
