Türkiye’s 2027 Presidential Annual Programme envisages reviewing pension calculations to encourage longer employment. The Labour Ministry, Treasury and Finance Ministry, budget authority and SGK will work together.

The programme does not announce a specific new retirement age, contribution requirement or pension-accrual rate. Preparatory work does not mean existing pensions have changed today.

Other measures include micro-insurance for lower-income groups, care insurance to finance elderly care, and a single platform for employers’ SGK procedures.
