A man blocked an ambulance heading to hospital in Istanbul’s Fatih district and climbed onto the vehicle. Footage recorded by the medical crew showed a confrontation that prevented the ambulance from moving for a time.

According to Son Dakika and Türkiye Gazetesi, the 112 emergency team was trying to take a patient to hospital. The man argued with the crew, while nearby students and a teacher also objected to his behaviour.

He was alleged to have insulted medical staff and those who challenged him. The report said an examination of the incident had begun. His identity, the length of the delay and details of the patient’s condition were not provided.

The footage shows the ambulance being obstructed, but the circumstances preceding the confrontation have not been explained. The sources reported no detention or court decision.
