Former Greek military chief Konstantinos Floros discussed the Türkiye–Libya maritime agreement and the Greece–Cyprus electricity link on ANT1 television. He argued that Greece could respond in the field if necessary.

Floros referred to the tensions of 2020, support for a French research vessel and the prospect of a new NAVTEX notice in early November.

These were a retired general’s television remarks, rather than an operational decision announced by a serving commander. Türkiye and Greece hold differing positions on maritime jurisdiction in the eastern Mediterranean.
