JPMorgan has rejected suggestions that it is leaving Türkiye, saying its banking operations will continue. In a KAP disclosure, the group said its Istanbul branch was working with regulators on expanding its business.

Separate legal entities

The application to the Capital Markets Board concerns only the brokerage licence of J.P. Morgan Menkul Değerler AŞ. That company has provided no investment services since 3 July 2015. The process aligns its legal status with that longstanding position.

The bank said services at the legally separate Istanbul branch would continue without interruption.
