Polish Constitutional Tribunal president Bogdan Święczkowski entered the grounds after having a chain at the gate cut on the evening of 30 October. Footage described by Son Dakika shows police subsequently blocking his access to the building.

The incident followed a website notice announcing a one-month suspension of Święczkowski and his deputy. A statement on the tribunal’s social-media account disputed the move’s legality.

The leadership confrontation was an early stage of the crisis that prompted President Nawrocki to interrupt his Senegal journey and return home.
