Arda Güler’s proposed Real Madrid contract extension to 2031 is back in the news. A Son Dakika report citing Sky Sports says talks are progressing positively, but another meeting is planned for next week to resolve remaining details.

Two-year extension proposed

The proposed deal would add two years to the player’s existing contract, which expires in 2029. The report claims his salary could double and net annual earnings could exceed €5 million with bonuses. These figures have not been presented as official terms announced by the parties.

Reports differ on progress

AS reported on 5 October that an agreement had been reached to extend the deal to 2031. Anadolu Agency relayed that account, citing AS. The newer report instead says negotiations are not yet complete.

A signed extension and a confirmed salary therefore cannot be established from these reports. They describe a similar proposed duration but differ on the stage the process has reached.
